You don't have to have a smoker or be an expert on outdoor grilling to enjoy mouthwatering BBQ Brisket. It can be made in a crockpot/slow cooker and the result is tender and delicious.

Mix all spices for rub together in a small bowl and use it to completely cover the brisket on all sides. This can be done right before cooking, or you can do it the night before. If you choose to do it the night before, tightly wrap your seasoned brisket in plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
Whisk together BBQ sauce, beef broth, and liquid smoke to fully combine, then place on the bottom of your crockpot that is set to Low. Place seasoned brisket on top. Put the lid on your crockpot and let cook on low 8 - 10 hours. (You can cook up to 12 if necessary) Then remove brisket from crockpot and slice, shred or chop. Use leftover juices in crockpot to pour over, or you can return chopped brisket to the crockpot. Enjoy in a sandwich or all on its own!
Put all ingredients (brown sugar, ketchup, apple cider vinegar, mustard, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper) in small saucepan and whisk to combine. Place on stovetop over medium heat. Let it come to a low simmer while stirring. Remove from heat and let cool completely. Refrigerate until ready to use. This recipe will make 2 cups of BBQ sauce.
