These Pumpkin Donuts are easy to make, delicious to eat, and are the perfect fall treat.
Preheat oven to 350º & grease a donut pan.
In large bowl, combine dry ingredients (flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and pumpkin spice). Stir and set aside. In separate mixing bowl, combine wet ingredients (pumpkin purée, vegetable oil, sugars, eggs and vanilla). Use electric hand mixer to beat until smooth. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and blend again until left with a smooth batter. Transfer batter to a piping bag. (You can also use a large ziplock bag with one corner snipped) Pipe dough into donut pan, filling each pocket about 2/3rds deep. Then place in oven to bake 12 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. Donuts can be dipped in cinnamon sugar once out of the oven, or you can make a simple glaze.
*Note: If you don't have a donut pan, you can use this exact recipe to make muffins. Just preheat your oven to 400º, grease your muffin tin and follow all the same steps. They will need to bake a few minutes longer. Remove from oven when a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean.
combine powdered sugar and vanilla and add milk a little at a time. Whisk until left with a smooth glaze. If it's too thick, add more milk. If it's too runny, add more powdered sugar. When you have your desired consistency, drizzle over freshly baked donuts or dip the donut into the glaze to fully cover the the top. Enjoy!
